Serving Whitman County since 1877
Re/Max home and land real estate will open in Colfax with an open house from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 11.
“We’d love to show off what we’re doing,” said Stacie Olson, the Colfax office administrator.
The Colfax office is located in the former HUB Insurance building at the north corner of Golgotha and S. Main.
Some of the Re/Max agents already live in Colfax and will work mostly out of the new office, though all the agents will be able to work from either the Colfax or Pullman office.
Jayci Cocking and Melissa Lienweber will be the agents who will mostly work at Colfax, Olson said.
The Colfax office is now being remodeled. The remodel includes reworking the bathrooms and kitchen, window treatments, carpets and some of the flooring and upgrading electrical and plumbing.
Re/Max Home and Land is owned by Joe Pitzer and Melinda Dutton, who will attend with the agents and staff.
By moving into Colfax, they hope to be able to have a greater presence in some of the smaller communities of Whitman County.
Today, Thursday, Re/Max in Pullman plans a shred party. They hired a shred truck, which will be on site for from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The agents and employees will be bringing their own papers that need shredded and they invite their customers and the public to join them.
A food vendor truck will also be available for snacks during the event.
Re/Max will also participate in First Thursdays this summer.
