Gray tops field at Chewelah

Colfax senior Bennett Gray carded a 77 to win medalist honors Tuesday in a district round on the Chewelah course. Augie Allenbach of Colfax and Kristoff Pankey of Davenport finished two strokes back of Gray to share runner-up honors.

Gray’s 77 was five-over for the par 72 course at Chewelah.

Cassidi Shindler tied for third place on the girls side with a 114.

The golfers are scheduled to play a Quail Ridge in Clarkston today and at Deer Park Monday.
