Garfield bank makes donations

State Bank Northwest, founded in Garfield in 1902, made donations last week to the town's American Legion/LaDow Food Pantry and the Garfield Community Association (GCA). Pictured, at right, are Shelly Anderson, John Widman and Ami Kramer of the bank as they present a $1,000 check to James Woomack and Greg Holbrook, both left, of the G. Raymond McCown American Legion Post 24 in Garfield. The money will go to supplying fresh fruits and vegetables for the LaDow Food Pantry at the Legion hall. The bank also gave $300 to the GCA for its annual Christmas celebration.
