Port commissioners convened at Boyer Park and Marina last Thursday for a regular meeting prior to the park's Memorial Day weekend season opening.
Mike Olmstead, park manager, gave the commissioners a tour of the park to highlight current and future projects and repairs, including the new cabin, which replaces the one that had burned, landscaping and roofing.
Camper spots were already occupied by pike minnow fishermen while the main camping area had been groomed in anticipation of Memorial weekend. Olmstead also told commissioners there will be a fireworks display for the Fourth of July with the aim of a 20 minute show.
