Nails ineligible to run for Colfax school board re-election

Five-year school board member David Nails did not file for re-election to the Colfax school board because of a change of address.

Nails moved from South Main two years ago to a house near the Perkins House which is in a different district represented by board member Brian Becker.

“I would stay on,” said Nails. “I would like to do that.”

Nails moved two years ago. The rules allow for a board member who moves out of their district to serve the rest of their term, if less than 50 percent of the four-year term remains.

Nails will serve out the rest of his term to Jan. 1....
