Vets to be honored at LaCrosse parade

Theme for the 2019 LaCrosse Farmer’s Festival will be “Honoring Our Brave.” The festival this year will be June 21-23. All veterans are invited to participate as Grand Marshals in the festival parade on June 22.

To participate, check in at the LaCrosse Scale House at 9 a.m. in downtown LaCrosse to register the day of the parade.

Registration for the Kiddie Parade will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown LaCrosse.

Linda Hennigar will kick off the parade at 10:30 a.m. by singing the national anthem, followed by Zoe Bailey singing God Bless America to honor the Grand Marshals. Please contact Sharon Schlomer for more additional details.

The Bank of Eastern Washington will sponsor a photo contest with the following entry requirements:

5x7 inch, matted photo, printed on photo paper, taken 6-22-2018 and 6-21-2019 in Whitman County.

Entries must be turned in at LaCrosse Bank by June 21.

Photos will be displayed at the bank June 22 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Winners will be announced at 1:30 p.m. at the city park, with gift certificates going to the winners. Photos can be picked up after 3 p.m. at LaCrosse Café.

On Friday, June 21, The Bank of Eastern Washington (LaCrosse Branch) will be hosting a customer appreciation BBQ from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Everyone is welcome whether they are a customer to the bank or not.
