Bench project earns Girl Scout gold

Annalynn Randall, recent Pullman High School graduate, received the highest Girl Scout honor, the Gold Award this spring.

To receive this award, Randall had to complete a project in the community. She created and installed “Buddy Benches” at three Pullman elementary school playgrounds, including Jefferson, Sunnyside and Franklin.

Students are advised to sit on the bench if they want someone to play with.

Randall filmed a video to teach the students and staff how to correctly use benches and gave instructions to teachers on how to instruct students in the future.
