Sale of legal fireworks from the stand at Rosauer's lot began Friday at noon. The stand, which is operated by Colfax Rotary, was open from noon to 8 p.m. each day until the Fourth of July when they will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., according to Bob Lothspeich, who is heading the project for Rotary.

Proceeds from the fireworks sales support the Colfax High School softball team, cheerleaders and possibly other sports groups.

The fireworks are sold in a trailer parked at the southwest corner of the Rosauer's parking lot.
