Colfax city council members and city attorneys met for 45 minutes in executive session July 1 after rolling through the meetings normal agenda in 15 minutes.
Included in the executive session were City Attorney John Kragt and Spokane attorney Ronald Van Wirt, who is representing Colfax in the Civil Service appeal which has been filed by former Colfax Police Chief Rick McNannay.
The executive session, officially called for pending litigation, was called by Councilman Jim Kackman who served as mayor pro-tem in absence of Mayor Todd Vanek who is on a family trip.
