Serving Whitman County since 1877
For 48 years The Washington Idaho Symphony has been bringing live, orchestral music to all ages in the rural Whitman and Asotin counties of Washington and the Latah and Nez Perce counties of Idaho, while providing an outstanding opportunity for the region’s most accomplished musicians to participate in challenging repertoire and performance.
The orchestra is comprised of roughly 60 professional musicians drawn from the Quad Cities community, making WIS not only a high-quality orchestra, but one made of community members who are passionate about bringing the arts to their neighbors. As a 501(c) nonprofit organization, the WIS is dependent on charitable giving and sponsorships. Through that support, they are able to produce six concerts performed on the Palouse and down in the Clearwater Valley with an average of 400-500 patrons per concert between the two locations. Sponsorships allow tickets to be kept at a reasonable price and the opportunity to have free admission for children under 12.
To continue to be able to perform for the Quad-Cities community the WIS is advertising opportunities for area businesses and individuals to sponsor specific areas of the concerts they perform. Businesses and individuals can sponsor their favorite instrumental section, the concert master, the conductor, or even a whole concert or season. For the first time this season, the WIS announces its Repertoire Sponsorship program where businesses and individuals can sponsor their favorite music being performed this season. From John Williams Suite to the “Force Awakens” to Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 2.
Sponsorships can be completed online at wa-idsymphony.org/support-wis/.
