Hankers return for first Thursday

First Thursday will return to downtown Colfax today, Aug. 1, beginning at 3 p.m. with street vendors, merchant sales, origami crane folding, free root beer floats sponsored by Rosauers and Methodist Church and another fish painting party from 3 to 5 p.m. in The Center at the Colfax Library.

Colfax Arts Council invites everyone to help install the fish projects along the chainlink fence on the east side of the flood control channel at 5:30 p.m. just north of the library.

The Hankers band from Oakesdale will perform on Spring Street at 6:30 p.m., and the beer/wine garden will start at 5:30 p.m....
