The City of Tekoa approved a measure July 15 to ask Tekoa residents to cut back on water usage by four to five percent on monthly usage.
The action came after the city completed its annual water use efficiency report for the Washington State Department of Health.
The state asks for a new goal at least every six years for each municipality. Tekoa’s previous goal was in replacing water meters which it accomplished.
