Commissioners approve six-year plan for roads

Whitman County commissioners Monday approved a six-year transportation improvement plan, which included funded projects, partially-funded and “wish list” items through 2025.

Funded projects included Almota Phase Four road reconstruction, Almota Phase Three, three Johnson area roads for paving overlay and three miles of reconstruction on Hume Road south of Oakesdale.

Wish list items were named as overlays or reconstruction in Steptoe on the former old concrete highway, Green Hollow Road, Warner Road and Lamont and Hardy roads.
