Fish join First Thursday festivities

Late afternoon sun on the west alley projects a second school of shadow fish swimming "up fence." Many of the fish designs carry the signature or initials of their decorators.

Keith and Julie Niehenke perform with The Hankers band to the delight of what appeared to be the endless energy of young dancers twirling around the space in front of the bandstand. At right, one little dancer gets his groove on to the beat despite the August heat.
