Notice Of A Determination Of Nonsignificance (DNS) And A Conditional Use Hearing

Whitman County Planning issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project: D&M Lange Rentals propose to operate a wedding and event venue business with associated activities such as camping, short term RV parking, and bed and breakfast hosting on a 2-acre parcel. The property is located approximately 3.6 miles south west of Garfield, on the east side of Oral Smith Road, at 1302 Oral Smith Road, in Section 13, Township 17 N, Range 44 E, W.M., Whitman County, Washington. After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. The public is also notified of the intent to issue a Conditional Use Permit in front of the Board of Adjustment on September 12, 2019 at 7 PM in the Public Service Building, 1st floor auditorium, N. 310 Main St., Colfax, WA 99111.
