Colfax cross country team will start its season with a first turnout Monday. Coach Jamie Kinley will welcome many runners back from the two squads which marked a high point for the program when both the boys and girls teams placed sixth in the state all-B run at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

Senior grads off the boys team were Carson Cloaninger, Ryley Griffiths and Evan Henning.
Lone grad of the girls team was Tayma Vanek.
“We expect to have a good group back again this year,” Coach Kinley said.
Anna Cocking, who clocked 18th overall at state last year as a freshman, will be back as a sophomore for the girls team. Other returnees expected are Maddy Dingman, Emma Miller, Miya Ensley, Madeline Tate and Abigail Lobell.
Georgia Slate is expected to join the ranks as a freshman.
Returnees to the boys team will be Kolby Slate, Tyler Bober, Dyamin Vanek, Joshua Huber, Jake Jones and Ryan Henning.
