Jessica Evans, 22, Airway Heights, was charged with being in possession of methamphetamine Sept. 6 after she was arrested while driving from Pullman back north by Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Jordan.
Jordan’s arrest report said he stopped the pickup she was driving Sept. 4 after noticing a defective headlight. Jordan said he noticed a butane torch on the dashboard, and that led him to question Evans and a passenger on drug use.
The owner of the pickup was a passenger, he admitted using methamphetamine.
The sergeant was allowed to search the suspect’s purse and located methamphetamine. The report said the duo explained they were returning after visiting a client in Pullman, and that led Jordan to review a website designed to log prostitution traffic. He found Evan listed in ads.
In addition to the methamphetamine, Jordan reported he found $406 in cash in the suspect’s purse.
Evans posted $5,000 bond through a Vancouver bonding agent for pre-trial release.
