Mobile veterinary service coming to the Palouse area

Veterinarian Dr. Kathryn Kammerer, a WSU graduate, and Dr. Tasha Bradley, WSU large animal intern, will offer traveling veterinary care via a fully stocked veterinary truck with heat, water and refrigeration. They aim to bring top-quality, professional care to homes and ranches within a 100-mile radius of Moscow and Pullman for routine diagnostics and preventive healthcare.

“We were talking one night about the next steps in our lives and concluded that the best next step would be to start our own mobile mixed practice in the area,” said Kammerer. “We understood that there is a need for large animal veterinarians in the area. We loved the idea of taking the hassle and fear out of taking an animal/pet to a vet clinic,” added Bradley. “We enjoy spending time getting to know our patients and clients at their place of comfort for a more relaxed, one-on-one experience.”

Originally from Salt Lake City, Dr. Kammerer graduated with a bachelor of science from Westminster College and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from WSU with an interest in mixed-animal practice.

For 10 years prior to veterinary school, she was a veterinary technician at a progressive, small animal hospital in Salt Lake City. She was also a volunteer at a mobile mixed practice serving Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas.

She is training to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and hopes to be certified soon. Her family owns a cattle ranch in South Dakota. She and her husband Matt share their home with two dogs and two cats.

Dr. Bradley was born and raised at Whitehaven, England, a rural area of northwest England. She attended veterinary school at the University of Nottingham and gained her degree in July, 2017.

After her graduation, she started a farm animal medicine and surgery internship at WSU. She is currently writing her Master’s thesis surrounding the pain management of disbudded goats, and hopes to complete it by next July. She and husband-to-be, Sean live in Moscow. They have a stepson, Grant; two golden retrievers and a goat. Dr. Bradley is going through the process of switching her veterinary license to the United States while working as an assistant to Dr. Kammerer.

“As an up and coming small business in the Moscow/Pullman area, we wanted to keep the majority of our business providers as local as possible,” said Tasha.
