"I am a Colfax native - we moved here when I started kindergarten," said Lynnea VanTrease of her upbringing. "My dad got a job up here - I was born in Lewiston. Dad got a job at UPS. It transferred him up here to the Pullman/Colfax area."

Lynnea enjoyed her country upbringing. The family has a small farm outside of Colfax, where Lynnea grew up.

"My mom loves animals," she said. "Actually, she is a dog breeder for Old English Bulldogs and Jack Russels."

She grew up with two brothers, each of whom have contributed a nephew for Lynnea to spoil.
