NE district runners will return to the Harrington Golf course Saturday for the District seven qualification run, the first step on the road to the state chase.
Colfax will head for the district seven race after competing in the Lake Spokane Invitational at Lakeside where the Bulldog girls finished fourth among an entry of mostly larger schools, and the Bulldog boys finished eighth.
Colfax girls scored a 100 points behind the 30 win posted by the Lakeside hosts.
Also finishing ahead of Colfax were Bothell 34 and Moses Lake 99.
Colfax boys placed eighth with 202 behind the 23 win, also by Lakeside. They had the first three finishers among the 76 entrants.
Davenport, the other NE team in the top 10, finished sixth with 196.
Anna Cocking placed 17th to lead Colfax girls with a 22:04 behind the 19:34 win posted by Lakeside’s Madelyn Buckley.
Other Colfax finishers were Miya Ensley, 19th at 23:23; Madison Dingman, 20th at 23:34; Hannah Baerlocher, 29th at 24:42; Jorga Slate, 31st at 25:00; Emma Miller, 32nd at 25:03; Isabelle Koyama, 38th at 26:98, and Madeline Tate, 51st at 29:23.
Kolby Slate again led the Bulldog boys at 25th with a 18:12 time behind Lakeside winner Brayden Merrill at 16:37.
Other finishers for the Bulldog boys were Joshua Huber, 29th at 18:31; Dyamin Vanek, 37th at 18:56; Ryan Henning, 58th at 20:06; Tyler Bober, 60th at 20:14; Ryan Baljo, 61st at 20:21; Kyle Dial, 62nd at 20:35; Jackson Perry, 70th at 21:36; Cole Baerlocher, 71st at 21:51; Sam Kopp, 72nd at 21:52, and Jacob Jones, 73rd at 22:06.
Tekoa/Rosalia finishers on the boys side included Erik Lazcano 39th at 19:02; Joey Murray, 75th at 23:05 and Justin Liam Hendricks, 76th at 23:08.
Tekoa/Rosalia girls Crystal Anderons, Josalyn Peters, and Lillian Shaw ran in the girls race and were among finishers listed without race times.
