Robert Repp

Robert Repp, 90, retired Whitman County assessor, died Thursday, Oct. 24, at Whitman Health and Rehab in Colfax. The family plans a private service at the Colfax cemetery.

Repp, who worked for the county his whole adult life, was appointed assessor at age 39 and served until he retired in 1994 at the age of 66.

He was born April 27, 1929, to Reinhold and Mathilda Litzenberger Repp and raised on the family place on Lee Road. He attended Endicott schools and served in the military during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953.

He and Virginia Harris were married Feb. 27, 1953, and made their home in Colfax.

She and a son, Daniel, preceded him in death.

Surviving is a son, Bill, at the family home.
