Huff will then leave for North Carolina to visit son Mike and his family. While at Mike’s she will get to watch grandson, Jay Huff, play basketball for the Virginia basketball team.

The annual Endicott German Dinner was Sunday at the Endicott School. After school on Nov. 1 the staff set up tables in the cafeteria and put down the floor covers in the gym. The Endicott Community Club and other local helpers spent several hours Saturday preparing the kitchen, setting the tables, packaging the sausage, sorting auction goods and arranging them on the tables in the gym.

Sunday morning at 10 a.m. cooking started and preparing other items to be served. The crowd started arriving about 11:30 a.m. to check out the auction items. The doors opened at noon and at last count 201 diners had passed through the door by closing at 2:15 p.m.

The auction went until 2:45 p.m. Several people had set up booths to sell their wares during the silent auction.

Endicott School’s annual Veterans Appreciation Day program will be Friday, Nov. 8. Letters were sent out to veterans in the area to attend the program. The veterans were also invited to have lunch in the school cafeteria. The program will start at 12:15 p.m. and refreshments will be served.
