Art and Colene Sager spent Oct. 26 – 29 in Oregon. They traveled in their airplane to Newberg, Ore., and spent the morning with Colene’s brother and sister-in-law. In the afternoon, they flew to McMinnville, Ore., to attend a memorial service for a friend they had met through International Flying Farmers. Following the memorial service, they flew to Sun River, Ore., to visit their daughter and son-in-law in LaPine, Ore. They spent an extra day in LaPine to avoid the storm that hit the Palouse Monday.
David Stueckle was in Tacoma the last weekend in October to visit his brother, Reuben, who is at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Reuben, who lives in Puyallup, had a benign brain tumor. Following surgery, complications developed, and he is still hospitalized. David retuned home the following Tuesday.
Long-time Whitman County resident Bruce Kyllo died Saturday, Nov. 2, in Spokane. Services will be at Selbu Lutheran Church Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m.
Linda Hennigar will be among the performers at a community event in Endicott at the Lutheran Church Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. Also performing will be a sample group from “Tapestry,” Linda Hennigar, Diane Monson, Mary Chastain and Debbie Wolfe.
Wednesday, Nov. 13, the Dusty B.B. Club will meet at the LaCrosse Catholic Church Parish Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to make baby blankets for the free clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Hostesses will be Sandy Passmore and Jenell Guske. Roll call will be ideas for Christmas stocking stuffers that can be hand-made. Bring the pattern for the item to be shared. Lunch will be at the LaCrosse Café with dessert and coffee to follow back at the hall.
