Lewiston driver hurt in collision

Rescue crews work to load Kevin Acree, 48, Lewiston, into an ambulance for transport to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Acree was injured Tuesday when the 2000 Dodge he was driving collided with the back of a 2005 Peterbilt truck driven by Donald Huffman, 63, Palouse, at the intersection of Cache Creek Road and Highway 195 south of Rosalia. According to the WSP accident report, both vehicles were driving northbound on Highway 195, at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday when Huffman slowed the truck to make a left turn off the highway, and Acree failed to stop in time to avoid hitting the back of the truck. Huffman was not hurt.
