Local link to soccer champs

Elliotte Kortus of Kirkland celebrates with her Seattle Academy of Arts and Science team after winning the WIAA 1A girl's soccer championship in Shoreline Nov. 23. She is the daughter of Rachelle and Taft Kortus, and the granddaughter of Gary and Trudy Libey of Colfax and Melanie and Rob Heacock of Spokane. Elliotte, a freshman starter, was named rookie of the year in her team's league.
