Sewell exhibit set at Dahmen Barn

Andy Sewell will exhibit his watercolors and oil paintings at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn Jan. 19 through March 1. The exhibit opening will be Jan. 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Sewell recently was chosen to be the Idaho Conservation League Artist in residence for 2020. Several of the paintings that he is painting for the ICL will be on display. Viewers can support the Idaho Conservation League by purchasing directly from their website https://www.idahoconservation.org.

Sewell enjoys the moods that can be created and captured in watercolor. The soft, light, unthreatening feelings which can be expressed through this medium, intrigue and challenge him.

Some of Sewell's favorite things to paint are country scenes with old barns, trucks and country churches. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he also enjoys painting wildlife, fish and fishing themes.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, a 501C3 non-profit art organization in Uniontown, is open Thursday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
