'Beautiful Again' premiere

Pullman Civic Theatre will present “Beautiful Again” Feb. 6 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Nye Street Theatre in Pullman.

The performance is one of PCT’s Shows on the Side, a secondary season that supplements PCT’s main-stage season to bring more live theatre to the Palouse. Content of the show will differ from the main-stage shows by offering scripts that may explore more challenging ideas or adult themes.

In “Beautiful Again,” Jack Kuzo is a struggling condiment salesman. Things look up when his hairdresser changes his hairstyle to make him “beautiful again.” Each time she gives him a new look, his condiment sales surge. Soon he is dependent on the hairdresser and neglects his family.

Jack’s wife Katie gets angry with his new obsession, and the marriage deteriorates. Their daughter, Lou, searches for meaning and solace in things like taxidermy and Ouija boards.

General admission tickets are $10, PCT member tickets are $5 and season ticket holders will be admitted for free.
