The Pomeroy girls are 19-1 with the one caused by Oakesdale.
The two teams meet again Friday in Walla Walla for the district championship at 6 p.m. at the Dietrich Dome.
Oakesdale, with five losses, split with Pomeroy in the regular season and went on to lose at Colton, to cede the regular season to the Pirates.
Now in the playoffs, Oakesdale handled Colton last Friday at home to open districts. Pomeroy beat no. 4-seed Gar/Pal and now the no. 1 and no. 2 seeds will play for the championship.
The winner advances to regionals, one step from state.
The loser drops into a last-chance game on Saturday afternoon, again at the Dietrich Dome, with one last slot to regionals at stake.

At home Friday, Feb. 14, Julie Baljo led Oakesdale with 20 points against no. 3-seed Colton in the opening round of the district tournament.
Rylee Vining led the Wildcats with 12 points. Colton now plays an elimination game Friday afternoon in Walla Walla against no. 4 Garfield/Palouse – which lost to no. 1 Pomeroy Feb. 14.
