Feel the luck March 5 with First Thursday

Ring in March with a little luck by participating in the Chamber of Commerce First Thursday celebration of shopping local with the chance to win.

Titled Leprechaun Luck, March’s First Thursday will give participants the chance to win $500 in cash by shopping in Colfax. Each purchase will be entered individually into the drawing.

To qualify, shop in downtown Colfax between Monday, March 2, to Thursday, March 5, collecting shamrocks or holding onto receipts from businesses in town. Shamrocks will have a space to be filled out with information for the drawing.

All receipts and shamrocks need to be turned into the chamber office at 214 N Main by Thursday at 6 p.m.

Along with shopping locally the Colfax Library is offering a chance to visit Ireland on Thursday, March 5, without leaving Colfax.

From 3 to 6 p.m., by using Google Earth Virtual Reality at the Colfax Library, participants can view the Earth from a new perspective with Oculus Rift VR.

All VR participants must be age 13 and up with a signed waiver to experience a 3D adventure. Virtual Reality programming made possible through Washington State Library “VR in Libraries” project.

Shamrocks can also be found at the library when shopping the Friends of the Library Book Sale March 2-5.
