Whitcom meets budget challenges for next year

COLFAX – Whitcom, the regional emergency dispatch center, held a special finance committee meeting, Wednesday, April 22, where it was announced the emergency center was running on a budget deficit ranging from $400,000 to $600,000 for the next fiscal year.

Whitcom provides police, fire and EMS dispatch services to Whitman County, Asotin County, the City of Moscow and the Nez Perce Tribal Police Department.
