Linda "Lindy" Campbell

In her sleep, Lindy peacefully passed over into eternity in heaven after a long struggle with Alzheimer's/Dementia.

Lindy was born in Spokane, Wash., and was raised in Colville, Wash., where she graduated from high school in 1959.

In 1960, she married her best friend and the love of her life Gerald (Gerry) Campbell. She lived an adventurous life and with her husband traveled, worked and ministered in many areas around the western United States.

Lindy was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary Ministry of the Gideons International and held most of the offices in the local camp and served at the state level. Lindy witnessed and gave away hundreds of New Testaments and Bibles to hotel workers and other people she met, leading many to a saving relationship with Jesus the Christ. Lindy was one of the first counselors on the Suicide Hot Line when it was organized in Anchorage, in the early 1960's. She spent most of her life serving as a caregiver in one way or another: Sunday school teacher, caregiver and driver for Council on Aging, nursing home aid, Salvation Army thrift store manager, waitress and many other things. Everybody that knew her loved her.

Lindy was a wonderful artist in many mediums including: painting, ceramics and flower arrangements. She could make beautiful art out of just about anything.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard (Leo) and Fern (Usher) Baker; and her sister, Delores.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald (Gerry) Campbell of Pine City, Wash .; daughter, Brenda (Terry) Cannon of Kennewick, Wash .; sons, Markam (Cindy) Campbell of Pine City, Wash., and Keith (Marcy)Campbell of Rosalia, Wash. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Brian Connell of Pasco, Wash., Christopher Connell of Fredericksburg, Va., Michael Connell of Kennewick, Wash., Joshua Campbell of Pullman, Wash., Caleb Campbell of Moscow, Idaho and Tabitha Scammon of St. John, Wash .; four great-grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda's surviving siblings are Ronald Baker of Tacoma, Wash., Susan Callahan of Kennewick and Dennis Baker of Spokane.

A celebration of life will be held at the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Rosalia, Wash., in a month or so, after the gathering restrictions are lifted.
