TEKOA – A 34-year-old man has been charged with third degree rape of a child and providing marijuana to minors.
According to the police report, Clayton Weaver was staying at the Tekoa residence and allegedly gave marijuana to two girls, aged 14 and 15. The alleged victim told Whitman County Sheriff's Deputy Tim Cox she only took a couple of hits, but the marijuana was so strong she could barely move and was unable to leave the room.
The alleged victim related the details leading up to and during the rape after which she crawled out of the room to another bedroom.
According to the report, Weaver told the alleged victim the next day not to tell anybody. The alleged victim decided to come forward after she heard he had an STD.
Weaver was arrested in Colfax for drug possession and a local warrant.
While being interviewed by the Sheriff's office, he admitted to a lesser degree of sexual contact with the alleged victim.
Weaver was booked into Whitman County Jail May 30. Bail was set at $100,000 surety or $10,000 cash. Arraignment has been set for Friday.
