Summer Reading

Whitman County Library invites all readers, infants to adults, to participate in the summer reading program “Imagine Your Story” now through August 31.

To complete summer reading, children read (or be read) 10 books or 10 hours to earn prizes and certificate recognizing reading achievement.

Teens read the books and complete the Imagination Quests, like learn to juggle, create your own fractured fairy tale, or check out a cookbook from the library, “read” a recipe and make it.

Adult summer reading includes challenges like read for one hour outside, read a book or watch a movie set over 500 years ago and read any fantasy or fairy tale book. Adult and teen finishers will each receive a prize and be entered into a county-wide grand prize drawing.

Grab-n-Go bags for all ages will be available throughout the summer during library curbside hours featuring crafts, STEM activities, riddles, coloring pages and more. http://www.whitco.lib.wa.us
