June county housing sales up

WHITMAN COUNTY – Housing sales in June had an increase of almost 20 from the prior month.

According to a report from the Whitman County Association of Realtors, 60 residential listings were sold with 52 pending.

June was the month with the most sales last year at 68. While June 2020 has a lower number of sales, sale prices were higher. Average price for last month's sales was $303,200. Median price was $283,300. Last year those numbers were $271,700 and $282,500, respectively.

Residential sales in the county started the year higher than the corresponding months in 2019 until April. There were four fewer homes sold in April 2020 than 2019 and 15 fewer in May than the prior year. up
