Helts celebrate 50th

Jack and Sarah Helt celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 17, 2020. The couple enjoyed a surprise dinner prepared by their daughters at one of their daughter's home in McCandless, Penn. The dinner included champagne, homemade sourdough bread, artichokes, lobster tail and filet mignon and was concluded with a "Two Spoons" mousse. Music from the 60's and 70's created the perfect atmosphere. In spite of the pandemic restriction, the occasion could not have been more memorable. The couple met in Palo Alto, Calif., in 1968 and were married on July 17, 1970, at the Wasatch Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout the years, they lived in the San Francisco Bay area; Denver, Colo., and Phoenix, Ariz., before moving to Pennsylvania in 2003. They have three daughters, Gretchen, Emily and Brooke and six grandchildren.
