EASTERN WASHINGTON -- The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for the region, with residents warned to expect "dangerously hot" hot temperatures from Sunday -- Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s and even low 100s before dropping back into the 80s and 90s by Wednesday. The extreme heat can lead to significant increases in heat-related illnesses, and residents are advised to stay hydrated and seek air conditioning inside or shade if outside.
