Ballot postcard wrong

COLFAX–Whitman County Auditor Sandy Jamison would like the public to be aware of a national mailing which includes an unnecessary advisement to Washington residents.

The USPS postcard regards the upcoming November general election and tells citizens to call their Elections Office to request their mail-in ballot.

“In Washington State, you do not need to request a mail-in ballot from your Elections Office because we are already a ‘Vote by Mail’ state,” stated Jamison. “The ballots will be mailed out to all registered voters in Washington State beginning Oct. 16, 2020.”
