Fonk's fire start unknown

COLFAX—Arson has been ruled out as a cause of the fire which claimed Fonk’s Coffehouse in March, however the exact cause is unknown and will likely remain so. According to a news report, investigators were unable to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Steve Warwick, Fonk’s owner, had not been contacted by fire officials or insurance as of Monday morning. He stated the fire had started in the kitchen, but none of the appliances had been used in that area for a couple of days. Arson was ruled out by fire investigators during their analysis.

After all the clean-up is complete, an engineer will come up with a rebuilding plan for a one-story structure which Warwicks will then get bids on.
