Serving Whitman County since 1877
CLARKSTON—After several weeks of investigation, detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force arrested two suspected drug dealers at a hotel in Clarkston Sept. 30. Detectives had applied for and were granted a search warrant earlier in the week based on information obtained over the past few weeks in both Whitman and Asotin counties.
Detectives served the narcotics-related search warrant the afternoon of Sept. 30 at a room located at the Motel 6 on Bridge Street in Clarkston. During the service of the warrant, approximately 40 grams of heroin, several grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia including packaging materials and several thousand dollars in cash were located and seized.
As a result, Nicole M. Lawing, 29, and Kenneth R. Brock, 31, both of Port Orchard, Wash., were booked into the Asotin County Jail on the felony charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are currently being held on $20,000 bond.
The Quad Cities Drug Task Force is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat narcotics distribution in Southeastern Washington and Western Idaho Counties.
