Man injured in Kia towing roll

COLFAX – One man was transported to Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics with lacerations yesterday after the vehicle he was in overturned.

Police officer Joey McCollum said the man was steering a vehicle being towed to a mechanic garage.

The Kia sedan was being pulled down Deanway Street from Last Street. The steering column locked up and the vehicle pulled to the right, causing it to go up the side of the hill, McCollum said. No longer level, the vehicle rolled onto its side on the road.

The fire department, EMS, Colfax police and Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded.
