Whitman County proposes a new zoning ordinance, Chapter 19.64 - Marijuana, to regulate the production, processing, and retailing of recreational marijuana.

A public hearing on this new zoning ordinance will be held by the Whitman County Planning Commission on November 4, 2020, at 7:00 PM. This hearing will be held virtually via ZOOM. Section 1: The November 2020 regular Town Council meetings shall be held on Wednesday, November 11th, and Wednesday November 18th beginning at 7:00 pm.

WHEREAS, the Town of LaCrosse has met and considered its budget for the calendar year 2021; and,

WHEREAS, the districts actual levy amount from the previous year was $35,317; and, WHERAS, the population of this district is less than 10,000; and now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the taxing district that an increase in the regular property tax levy is hereby authorized for the levy to be collected in the 2021 tax year.

The dollar amount of the increase over the actual levy amount from the previous year shall be $ 353.00 which is a percentage increase of 1% from the previous year. This increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from new construction, improvements to property, newly constructed wind turbines, any increase in the value of state assessed property, any annexations that have occurred and refunds made.

each calendar year.

4. $38.00 per month for all other business establishments, to

include, but not limited to, banks, post offices, grocery

stores, taverns, and eating establishments.

The sewer rates set forth in this section shall be subject to

change from time-to-time by resolution of the Town Council.”

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after it is

published in the official newspap Oakesdale as required by law.
