Colfax Mayor Jim Retzer presents a plaque to Richard and Pauline Gebhart Nov. 10 at Colfax City Hall in recognition for their organizing and displaying historic pictures on the walls of the council chambers/district court. The Gebharts performed the service in 1988 at the request of Mayor Carol Stueckle. They took a trove of old pictures at City Hall, framed and hung them . "Night after night they came, free of charge, and gave their services and their expertise," said Stueckle. Richard is a retired WSU professor and Pauline is a former nurse in Colfax.
