Man injured in single-car crash

PULLMAN — A Colfax man was injured in a Sunday morning crash during heavy freezing fog.

Schott Aeschliman, 55, was eastbound in a 2000 Chevrolet GMT-400 pickup on state Highway 94 just after 7:30 a.m. when he failed to stop at the intersection of Pullman-Wawawai Road, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The vehicle slid through the intersection and hit a tree, coming to rest in the westbound ditch, the patrol reported.

Aeschliman was injured, but his condition was not released.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and neither drugs nor alcohol were facts, the patrol reported....
