Shooting range closed Jan. 5-7

DAYTON — The target shooting range in the W.T. Wooten Wildlife area will be closed Jan. 5-7 for construction work.

The state Department of Fish and Wildlife is upgrading the range to comply with new target shooting rules that go into effect Jan. 18 for state lands.

The Wooten work follows a similar reshaping of the target backstop at Asotin Creek Wildlife Area, which has since reopened.
