Notice of Hearing / Intent to Dispose of Surplus County Property

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Legislative Authority of Whitman County, Washington will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., or as soon as possible thereafter. The Commissioner’s meetings in the Commissioner’s Chamber, in the Whitman County Courthouse, Colfax Washington are closed to in-person attendance. We encourage staff and the general public to participate remotely due to COVID-19 at: https://zoom.us/j/250921172. Upon receiving 72 hours’ notice, the county will make arrangements to reasonably accommodate the needs of special groups of citizens, including non-English speaking residents. NOTICE OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR COUNTY PRINTING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Whitman County Commissioners will, up to the hour of 10:30 a.m. on the 5th day of April 2021, receive sealed bids for county printing for the year July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022. Bids will be opened at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers, Whitman County Courthouse Colfax Washington.

Said printing, including all heads and sub-heads, shall be set solid without leads, and all heads, or sub-heads, shall be set in the same size type as is used in the body of the printing; each bidder is required to specify the size and type and width of column he will use should he become the successful bidder therefore, and each bidder shall also accompany his bid with a sample of the style, size, and kind of printing he will reproduce; together with a statement of his price per column wide, at which time he will do the County printing and also with a copy of regular current issue of his newspaper, and a sworn affidavit setting for the actual bonafide paid circulation of the bidder’s newspaper in Whitman County as of March 2021.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of $1,000.00 payable to the order of the Whitman County Treasurer, the same to be forfeited to Whitman County in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and furnish a surety bond or certificate of deposit at a Whitman County, Washington Bank or Savings Institution payable to the Whitman County Commissioners in the amount of $5,000.00 within ten days from the time of awarding the contract; said bond or certificate of deposit to be approved by the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners before it is filed.

The contract will require the successful bidder(s) to furnish a copy of each edition of the newspaper to two (2) County Departments, free of charge (Commissioners and Human Resources) as a condition of its bid for the duration of the contract period. A copy of the contract can be obtained by contacting the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners.

All bids must be filed with the Clerk of the Board on or before the time specified in order to be considered, and will then be opened by said Board at its office in the Whitman County Courthouse at Colfax, Washington. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason whatsoever.

Request for Statements of Qualifications To Furnish Engineering and Land Surveying Services

Town of LaCrosse, Washington

The Town of LaCrosse, Washington (pursuant of Chapter 61, Laws of 1981 and RCW 39.80) is inviting statements of qualifications and performance information from firms interested in providing professional engineering and land surveying services for the 2021-2023 calendar years in conjunction with Town sponsored projects. Projects for which services are sought may include water and wastewater system improvement planning and design, street, sidewalk, and storm drainage improvement design, grant and loan applications, environmental documentation, land surveying, geotechnical design; construction engineering and contract administration for projects that may be funded under a variety of federal, state, and local funding programs (including WSDOT, TIB, CDBG, USDA RD, DOE, PWTF and .09 projects).

Qualifications must include general firm information, experience resumes for the above listed types of projects or services, experience with state and federal funding programs, resumes of key personnel, a typical project approach, and references. Statements of qualifications will be reviewed and placed on file for the 2021-2023 calendar years, and used as the source from which to select one or more qualified firms from whom a detailed proposal may be requested for any specific project. The Town of Oakesdale, Washington solicits interest from consulting firms to provide Civil Design, Environmental Review, and Construction Administration services for 2021-2025. Pine Creek Conservation District 2021 Election and Appointed Board Member Position

The Pine Creek Conservation District is pleased to announce an opportunity to contribute to conservation and your community by serving on the Board of Supervisors.
