Colfax students sweep FCCLA regionals

COLFAX — Seventeen Colfax students earned gold awards for competing in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) regional competition.

Each Colfax student who competed won gold. Six student judges also gained eligibility for state, to be held either virtually or in Wenatchee in March.

The regional event was virtual with kids uploading projects and videos.

Gold winners and categories are as follows:

• Keilena Nelson, Lauryn York, Ella Jones; chapter service portfolio

• Hailey Demler, Hope Fulfs, Olivia Andrus; chapter service project

• Madison Fairbanks, Sophie Klaveano; hospitality and tourism

• Sydney Berquist; career investigation

• Anna Cocking; interior design

• Jorja Koerner; food innovations

• Josh Huber, Olivia Ng, Jonjon Kinley, Ellie Nails, Harper Booth, Kendall Gosney; student leaders.
