September 28, 1932 - February 25, 2021
Born in Colfax to Levi and Ethel Largent Lukins, Dick joined sisters Frances and Donna. He passed away Feb. 25, at home with family. He was 88.
He and Dorothy (Dot) Dasch married in 1954 while at WSC. After graduating they moved to Yakima where their children were born and Dick began his career as a pharmacist while Dot taught school. Dick enjoyed hiking and climbing and spent many weekends backpacking with friends and family in the Cascades. In 1972 the family moved to Corvallis, and Dick began kayaking and hang gliding in his spare time. They moved to Beaverton in 1985, and in 2011 to Portland. In retirement, he made great friends volunteering to build and maintain hiking trails near Portland.
He loved being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Dot; sister, Donna Camp; children Laura Pritchard (Jeff), Phil Lukins (Karin), Jayne Hill (Achim), four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
