PULLMAN — A couple allegedly stole tools and a robot vacuum together from two Pullman stores, and was caught thanks to Facebook.
Kirsten N. Green, 20, of Asotin, and Gabriel A. Nichols, 23, of Lewiston, were charged separately with organized retail theft in the second degree, theft in the third degree, and burglary in the second degree in Whitman County Superior Court on April 13.
Store security reported the thefts and shared surveillance video with the police of two people stealing items from the Pullman Walmart and Pullman Building Supply, according to court records.
Pullman police posted pictures of the suspects on their Facebook page for identification and the public responded with their names.
In the video, both were seen arriving and leaving the stores on Feb. 23 in a white Toyota Sienna van. They entered the Pullman Building Supply and allegedly stole a DeWalt 3-Beam Line Laser Level, Bostitch Coil Roofing Nailer, and a Milwaukee saw.
Green and Nichols were charged with burglary for allegedly entering Walmart on Harvest Drive in Pullman with intent to commit a crime, according to court records. While inside, they reportedly stole a Roomba Robot Vacuum.
Both Green and Nichols were permanently trespassed from all Walmarts in 2020 after they allegedly worked together to steal jewelry and keys to a jewelry cabinet in Clarkston, according to Pullman police.
A court summons was issued for Green to appear at a preliminary appearance on April 30. Nichols is summoned to appear for his preliminary appearance on the same day.
