Libraries to partially close Friday for training

Colfax — Each of the 14 branches of the Whitman County Library closes Friday morning for staff training.

Some branches open again Friday afternoon.

Book returns and free public Wi-Fi will be accessible all day.

Online Beans N’ Jeans raises $82,000

PULLMAN — The Palouse Habitat for Humanity generated $82,000 with this year’s Beans N’ Jeans fundraiser.

It was held online this year.

The money goes to building a house in Uniontown.

Palouse forming youth advisory board

Palouse — Teenagers interested in providing advice and participating in community projects can take part in the City of Palouse Youth Advisory Board.

Participants must attend school in the Palouse School District.

“Calling all teen leaders, dreamers and doers … be a representative of the youth voice in Palouse,” stated organizers.

Mayor Chris Cook and Councilmember Libby Akin are attending.
