Don Ping, 95, of LaCrosse, served in the Army from 1944–46 as a rifleman during World War II in France, Germany and Austria.

Alvin Brannon, 74, of Colfax, served from 1967–69 as a Vietnam-era staff sergeant in the Army, stationed in Southeast Asia, Wash., La., and Georgia.
